How can the Internet of Things (IoT) make our life in the city easier?
Smart City projects around the world are addressing this issue. However, these are very strongly focused on megacities. But even small and medium-sized cities can benefit from intelligent, digital solutions! And with intelligent technical systems we are very familiar in the Ostwestfalen-Lippe region. Therefore, the Fraunhofer IOSB-INA is implementing the IoT Living Lab  »LEMGO DIGITAL« as an open innovation infrastructure for medium-sized cities. The Fraunhofer scientists are supported by the OWL University of Applied Sciences and other partners as well as by the state of NRW. This infrastructure will be used by companies, IoT startups, municipalities and research institutes to work together with citizens to design new products and data-based services in the areas of mobility, environment, trade and energy. The Old Hanseatic City of Lemgo is the blueprint for more than 180 medium-sized cities in North Rhine-Westphalia, where half of all people of the most populous  state in germany live.
Ideas become true with »LEMGO DIGITAL«!
